Tech.Co is touring the world hosting regional startup competitions and conducting online startup competitions, to find the world’s most innovative early stage companies. Regional and online winners get the chance to compete in Tech.Co’s Startup of the Year Competition finals at Innovate! and Celebrate Conference in San Francisco, CA in October 9-11, 2017.
What is the criteria to be accepted into Tech.Co’s Startup of the Year Program?
We look for product excellence first, as well as a diversity in product ideas, teams, and geography. We will only accept companies that have received no more than $4 MM in funding, are fewer than 4 years old, and have a live product/service that is in operation (it can be beta, but we must be able to see it).

No cheating. Tech.Co’s third-party poll management system, Wedgies, will tabulate all votes made through the online poll and only count the last vote tallied on each machine. Wedgies takes into account information on each vote that includes, but is not limited to, IP Address, Timestamp, Session information, Device Fingerprint, and User Authentication to evaluate whether a vote is valid. Wedgies reserves the right to remove any vote that appears to be fraudulent in nature, proactively removes fraudulent votes and will report final results back to Tech.Co that include the winner of the poll that did not partake in cheating. Startups suspected of cheating will be disqualified.
