The Midwest is home to more than friendly faces, great sports teams, and frigid weather. This part of the country is filled with startups and entrepreneurs that are more than happy to show the coasts where innovation really comes from. And with success stories like Groupon and Grubhub coming out of the Midwest, it’s no wonder this part of the country is so hungry to prove itself in the business world.
Over the last five years, TechCo has searched for the fastest growing companies in the country to compete in the Startup of the Year competition. This year is no different, as we’ve found 100 semifinalists in every industry from food and beverage to education and entertainment, revolutionizing technology in more ways than you can count.
If you’re interested in getting a glimpse at the startups competing at this year’s competition, which takes place at Innovate Celebrate 2017 in San Francisco between October 9th and October 11th, take a look at all the companies hailing from the Midwest below.
