This year, AOL founder and CEO Steve Case wrote his best selling book The Third Wave. The paperback version of the book is coming out soon, and Steve Case wants to “collaborate with you” to make some revisions.

In case The Third Wave is new to you, the book shares Steve’s insights, stories, and experiences about how he brought people to the internet for the first time. It explores the second wave as well, which has brought things into the mobile world with applications like Google, Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat leading the way. He concludes by sharing his thoughts on the third wave, which is also the title of the book, which will be shaped by entrepreneurs who are set on disrupting entrenched industries.

Steve shared this exciting opportunity to get involved with his latest revision of his book in this article. He explains his decision to crowdsource the book by saying:

“I want to see what new information has surfaced and what insights could be beneficial to Third Wave riders.”

This crowdsourced approach seems fitting for this book as it leverages the collaborative-nature of the Internet, bringing people, ideas, and information together to offer an updated take on The Third Wave book. Case goes on to say:

“I will be reading all of your responses and highlighting my favorites through my social media channels. If your edit is picked for inclusion in the book, your name will be listed in the afterword of the paperback edition.”
