Strive: Connecting Independent Contractors on the Go

Job hunting is difficult for everyone, for both job-seekers and even employees. When it comes to finding a reliable contractors and freelancers, that is recommendation-based process. Denver-based startup Strive a location-based intuitive app that connects employers with employees, and customers with contractors.

The idea for Strive grew out of a long standing interest in job search difficulties, combined with exposure to the particular needs of the hourly worker. The mobile component of Strive increases the link between users looking to get contracted, or seeking short-term contractors, in their own area.

The platform uses a simple filter results, and a map interface, based on location and skills. Contracting work has become a booming area in the labor market, making up 10% of the 12% of American workers in temporary and contracting work. By creating a mobile platform to connect users on both ends, creates an opportunity for the local market.
