StyleInGo: Hair and Makeup On Demand

Anybody can order on demand services these days, and one of the growing markets is style and makeup. That is, the market is filled with competition, so companies and entrepreneurs need to really define their idea as distinct.

StyleInGo launched in February 2015 and currently supports the San Francisco Bay Area with their services. They offer users an innovative online booking system that sends a makeup or hair artist to your home.

Akki Shetty, founder of StyleInGo, has seen promising traction to date and is planning to expand to other locations over the course of the next year.

“I hopped between salons every weekend for 4 to 5 hours to get my hair, nails, and eyebrows done,” says Shetty. “I realized: if we can have someone do our laundry and clean our house then why not have someone come to our house to help us look beautiful?”

Much like contemporary on demand services like Uber and Lyft, StyleInGo prides itself on their artists. They employ a multi-step screening and vetting process for all of their potential artists to ensure quality of work and a professional demeanor at all times.

According to Shetty, StyleInGo prides itself as an artist friendly company as well. She truly believes that if the artists are happy, they’ll provide the best service to clients guaranteed: all of the artists are big fans of the platform as well.

This is just the beginning for StyleInGo, and they’re very young still. But if Shetty can maintain her driving philosophies for exceptional customer service than expanding into new locations shouldn’t be an issue.

The coolest part is that if you’re a kickass entrepreneur you don’t even have to leave your office to get salon quality service.
