Do you wish it was easier to locate hiring managers? What if you could land the job with a swipe of your finger?

Jobr, a mobile job discovery and matching app, helps job seekers locate jobs in their area that match their experience and interests. Jobr also connects recruiters with job seekers with opportunities they never knew were available in their city.

How Jobr Works

Jobr delivers job postings to talented professionals based on their skills, experience, education, and career preferences. This app uses the UI swipe pattern, which enables job seekers to easily browse job opportunities by swiping left or right.

For job seekers: Finding a job using Jobr is simple. Job seekers can sign up for Jobr by using their LinkedIn account. Once their LinkedIn account is connected, they’ll be able to set preferences for their job search and begin looking for opportunities.

For jobs candidates want to apply for, simply swipe right. To reject a job opportunity, swipe left. Once a match is made with an employer, a hiring manager will message the candidate about setting up a future interview.

For recruiters: Recruiters have the opportunity to connect with active or passive job seekers who would make a great fit for their organization. Once a recruiter signs up for Jobr, they can create job postings, claim job postings, and manage multiple postings at a time.

Recruiters can review job seeker Jobr profiles by swiping left or right. When recruiters swipe right, the candidate will receive a notification that a recruiter is interested in setting up an interview. Swiping left enables recruiters to reject candidates who aren’t a good fit for their company. Once a match is made, recruiters can message candidates to find out more information about their experience.

Pros of Jobr:

  • Clean and easy-to-use interface.
  • Connects directly with LinkedIn.
  • Makes it easier for job seekers to communicate with recruiters.

Cons of Jobr:

  • Only available for iOS devices.
  • Only pulls job postings from job boards such as CarerBuilder.

Jobr is changing the way job seekers and recruiters communicate during the hiring process. To learn more about Jobr, visit their website here.
