In hosting Tech Cocktail events in various communities across the country, we see all kinds of things – sometimes the products we see are a reflection of current times and hot trends, and sometimes, we see glimpses of the future – things that might be premature, but telling of what’s to come. In July, we’ll be hosting an event that will be very much focused on the future as we partner with Futurists:BetaLaunch as part of the World Future Conference by the World Future Society, a 45-year old non-profit organization dedicated to advancing ideas of the future. We’re also looking to engage with the local Vancouver tech community, inviting them to participate in this exciting event.

Calling Early Stage Vancouver Startups!
We invite you to apply today to be a showcased startup, gaining additional exposure at this community event as well as online — will cover every company that participates. To apply, fill out this form by May 7th, 2011. We’ll select 10 to 12 early stage startups to participate as our Startup Innovation Showcase at the event. As a special bonus, some of the selected startups could be invited to participate in Futurists:BetaLaunch (as deemed relevant) and will receive passes to the World Future Conference (a $750 value).

Futurists: BetaLaunch: The World Future Society has issued a call for inventions and innovations to showcase at the first annual Futurists: BetaLaunch, this summer in Vancouver. Their deadline is May 1st.
