We’re hosting our last TechCocktail DC of the year Wednesday night, September 29th, 2010 (the day before Ignite DC!). It’s going to be a special event for us with a spectacular lineup of new, early stage startups. This event is supported by one of the hottest tech companies in the country, Palantir as well as the king of 4G, Sprint the “now network” who is our multi-city tour sponsor. And many thanks to our community sponsors, Hoffman CFO Consulting and The Duck and Duke Productions.

The 8 participating showcased startups include:

NewPolitickA social news aggregator built on user-submitted content. Political identity scores help categorize and filter submissions and comments

Klaggle The Zagat’s for product reviews that helps retailers convert on-line visitors to buyers.

Pagelime – Give you clients instant access to update their site without the headache. Pagelime is a simple CMS that works!

traffictalk – Powerful crowdsourcing traffic voice app. Like CB Radio, connects drivers. Hear/share info on back-ups. – An online platform and Twitter-based application for volunteers in national and community service programs, allowing volunteers to record, share and track their impact.

SeniorChecked – The Trusted Local Business Network for Seniors and Their Families.

FANgrotto – A website dedicated to allowing sports fans to share/view videos of sports memorabilia on display at their homes, offices.

Replyz – Helps people tap into the real-time stream so they can ask questions from anywhere, get replies in real-time and join conversations that matter to them.

GrubHub, the Chicago-based startup that helps you find every restaurant that delivers to you, and order online for free, will be in town as a recent Inc 500 list maker and will also be featured at the event. GrubHub was a featured startup at our second ever event in Chicago in 2006 so we are pleased at how far they have come and we’ll be celebrating their startup success.

We always strive to bring you great events, where you can see what local entrepreneurs are up to, get a sense for emerging trends and mingle with other tech enthusiasts, innovators and entrepreneurs.
