Here’s How We’re Continuing To Support Startups Everywhere

Two weeks ago, we concluded the 2016 Startup of the Year program at our annual conference Innovate! and Celebrate 2016. If you attended, thank you so much for attending the event, we appreciate your support and hope you received value from your experience. If you were unable to make it, I hope you followed along on our Facebook Live videos or via our site. We’d love to see you all next year, so please stay tuned for updates.

We’ve been bringing together and showcasing early stage startups since 2006. In doing so I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and helping to amplify the stories of some great companies like GrubHub, Groupon, LivingSocial, AddThis, Desk, and even Uber (yes, the same Uber valued at $66B today). Back when these companies came through our startup programs and showcases, we were able to help connect founders to valuable resources through our network to help them grow their business, but we didn’t have a way to offer an investment – now we do.

At the conference we announced the launch of an investment community geared towards helping the top startups. We have partnered with Raleigh/Durham area based, Malartu Funds to create TechCo Ventures. This will support a diverse group of the top companies we see come through the Tech.Co Startup of the Year program.

Since the launch of TechCo Ventures, we have had an overwhelmingly positive response. Our intention is to bring together supportive and experienced investors to begin working with our startup of the year finalists. The best part? You can join the community today. Our long term goal is to continue to grow TechCo Ventures to support additional companies, helping foster entrepreneurship success and growth through TechCo Ventures for many years to come.

The opportunity is open to accredited investors and a great way to meet and get involved with some amazing companies. You can join us in supporting the brightest entrepreneurs and help fuel the next wave of innovation and entrepreneurship. The syndicate has the opportunity to make a positive economic impact by creating new opportunities and jobs for communities. Please feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any questions about getting involved.
