Mike Macadaan is back at it, wracking his brain for insanely creative ideas to revamp the way we all carry our technology with us. You may recall Macadaan as the inventive mind behind the Cord Taco, the Cordito, and the Cargito.

This past Monday Macadaan and his company, This is Ground, announced the launch of their latest and greatest product. The Mod, as they call it, is a protective carrying case for your daily essentials inspired by the Trapper Keepers and Franklin planners from back in the 90s.

(Trapper Keeper users everywhere were DEFINITELY screaming for a makeover…)

The Mod was designed for an era of different gear though, as most of us weren’t rocking iPads back in the day. This is Ground designed the Mod in a minimal and unisex fashion to hold modern day tablets, styluses, cords, and business cards.

On the inside, Macadaan and the crew also decided to make the spine magnetic to accommodate different modular inserts and allow the Mod to act as a fully customizable case to satisfy the needs of a diverse range of lifestyles and professions. For guys it solves the debate whether to carry a slim wallet or a backpack, and for gals it can be a replacement for handbags. And, per all This is Ground products, the magnets won’t screw with your electronics.

The newest from This is Ground will run from $250 to $290 and is available on their website or at select retailers beginning June 16.
