I’m sure you’ve noticed you’ve spent a lot more time on your mobile phone this year. Facebook has become largely addictive on the go – their mobile audience now represents 40% of their total usage. Mobile Twitter status updates, up 347%, have become expected multiple times a day – I personally use a Twitter Mobile app about a 15-20 times a day. I spend about 2 hours a day on the mobile web alone – I guess there are a lot of people like me who helped drive 3000%+ growth in mobile data traffic this year.

Mobile web activity has become a crucial aspect in all of our lives, but it’s more than just fun and games. The wireless industry this year created 2.4 million jobs and invested $20.4 billion in infrastructure.

This year, iStrategyLabs was able to support the work of this dynamic industry through our engagement with Mobile Future, who’s mission is to educate the public and key decision makers alike, as to how mobile is transforming the way Americans work and play.
