A Scottsdale, AZ based startup called ReplyBuy is changing the way that fans buy tickets by delivering convenience and instant gratification. They’ve created a platform that lets sports fans purchase tickets easily and seamlessly by simply replying to a quick text message with the word “buy.” On top of selling tickets, ReplyBuy also helps sports organizations engage their fans in a new way. The tickets are first come, first serve with the quickest responders getting the best seats available.
They have been steadily growing and currently have more than 30 partnerships with college and professional sports organizations and several professional sports venues including the Washington Capitals, the University of Florida, and Levi’s Stadium.
ReplyBuy has recently announced their first non-sports partnership with Palace Sports & Entertainment (PS&E). PS&E will use ReplyBuy’s mobile selling platform to sell tickets to their venues: DTE Energy Music Theatre, Meadow Brook Music Festival, and The Palace of Auburn Hills which is also the home of the Detroit Pistons.
“We see Palace Sports & Entertainment as being extremely progressive in the entertainment industry. This is yet another great example by prioritizing instant mobile sales as being part of their long-term strategy.” said Josh Manley, Founder and CEO of ReplyBuy.
For fans to get involved, all they have to do is find their team or venue either on ReplyBuy’s site or through the team or venue’s website. When it comes time to sell those last minute tickets, the organizations can broadcast a quick text to all those who are signed up. There’s no app to download, all notifications happen via text. PS&E sees ReplyBuy as a great way to fill those last minute seats.
“We are excited to be the first concert venue to use ReplyBuy to help our fans purchase tickets on their smartphones,” PS&E’s Vice President of Brand Networks Mike Donnay said. “One of the challenges we have with our concerts is letting fansknow when tickets still remain for popular artists as the assumption is that they are sold out. Using ReplyBuy we will be able to send a quick notification directly to fans phones and deliver the ticket immediately by simply replying back to the message.”
Those who sign up to receive ReplyBuy notifications between now and June 7 will be entered for a chance to win two tickets to see Kid Rock on Tuesday, August 11 at DTE Energy Music Theatre.
