Sometimes solving a puzzle or creating a GIF on your iPhone will suffice: The goal is to have fun. That’s why this week I tried to put together a list of five apps you can check out to slow down for a moment. So, without further ado, here is my app recipe for this week.

Cell Trap

Combining math with puzzles can be “fatal”, as it can create addiction, just as Cell Trap does. The catch is you need to combine four of the same numbers in a way that forms bigger numbers without getting the board filled up. Is that a challenge you can take? Try Cell Trap in three gaming modes: classic, extreme, and multiplayer. Download Cell Trap from the App Store for free.

Peter Panic

If you love Broadway, this app is for you: Aspiring director Peter Panic needs your help to bring theatre back to his quaint hometown. He needs to raise funds to achieve that, but he cannot succeed without your help: Put your fingers to the test and win the mini games built into this game. But be aware that although the app is available as a free download, you’ll need to shell out $2.99 to save your progress. Download Peter Panic from the App Store.

Train Conductor 2:USA

I enjoyed playing Train Conductor World: European Railway, so I thought you might also love the sequel of this neat game, Train Conductor 2: USA. The game features famous American locations, from the sky high over Miami Beach, through the underground of New York city, and much more. But best of all: it’s free for a limited time, so don’t waste your time; download it for free from the App Store.

Daycap – Your Day in a GIF

Since we usually take pics throughout the day, developing the story of the day is just an app away. Launch Daycap, keep taking pics or import them from your Cameral Roll, and there you go! End your day with a recap GIF, and share it with your friends and family. Download Daycap for free from the App Store.

Fatal

If you want a real challenge, download Fatal: It’s a very simplistic game with two control options: tap left and tap right, that’s all. You need to control a high-speed white cube (your character) through tunnels and chicanes, slide along ledges, and shoot incoming space invaders. Test your skills with Fatal – download it for free from the App Store.
