Sometimes you get to start the week even more tired than you ended the previous one, so it may be good to find a few minutes just for yourself to recharge your batteries. Believe it or not, your iPhone can help you: There is an app for that. Or you want to mix some good remixes? There is an app for that, too. So, without further ado, here is my app recipe for this week.

It doesn’t matter whether you are at home or at the office, the iPhone should be with you, because there is a great app for you to download: Headspace. This simple and easy-to-use app brings guided meditation suitable for all levels, and serves multiple purposes: improve your focus, exercise mindful awareness, relieve anxiety, and reduce stress. Hook for iPhone: Live DJ and Mashup Workstation

If you are training to become a professional DJ, this is an app you may want to consider. It’s fun and addictive, and I have the feeling that I just don’t want to stop playing with the music. Crossfade, glitch, transition, remix, transpose … you name it, and Hook for iPhone does it. The integrated sample allows you to unleash your creative side: record from mic/line, and grab hooks from iTunes and Spotify. The app is available as a free download for the iPhone, while the iPad version costs $13.

Soundtrack Attack: Steven Universe Rhythm Runner

If you are a Steven Universe fan, you should check out Sountrack Attack. The app is a rhythm runner game, where you can create your own gemsona (or gem persona), with different body types, features, and accessories. And from that moment on, tap, hold, and swipe along to the music to unleash awesome attacks and outrun the Homeworld gems. Download Soundtrack Attack for free from the App Store, and start playing!
