I sometimes find myself in the awkward situation of begging my friends for pics taken during our trips together. Fortunately, “there is an app for that” and one, too, in case they don’t or can’t use iCloud Photo sharing (for example). But I also like surprises, so this week’s app roundup includes apps that focus on surprises, photos, and, of course, challenging games.
Photo sharing is cool, but you know what’s even cooler? Photos shared with surprises! I’m sure I’m not the only one who loves surprises, so here is how you can surprise your friends and family: download the SurprzeMe app and send a picture that contains another, hidden photo. The recipient just holds down on the top photo, and the hidden photo appears. Now it is up to your creativity: add music, sound effects, text, stickers, filters, and drawings to the pics. Download SurprzeMe from the App Store.
Continuing the line with another photo-centric app, here is Upshot, a great way to share pictures with friends and family. Just launch a photo stream, and pics/videos will appear as you shoot them together with friends. So now friends can get everyone’s perspective in one place, real-time. Download Upshot from the App Store or Google Play for free.
Nintendo has been holding from the mobile market for many years, but this year, it finally broke the ice by launching its first app designed for smartphones. It’s called Miitomo and aims to “help” you get to know your friends like never before. Check it out, by downloading Miitomo for free from the App Store or Google Play.
Gaming is an important part of the app selection you find in a storefront such as the App Store, so here is something you may want to check out this week: Dash Masters. The game is based on simple rules: Tap to jump in alternate directions, and swipe up to perform a Dash. You will fire rockets and deploy protective shields to strike back at the enemy, but be careful, because your run will be very short if you don’t pay attention to Guardian Bots! Download Dash Masters from the App Store.
You may have already noticed that I like simple and challenging games, and Finger Hero is one of them. The game is very simple: Move your finger up to increase speed, downwards to slow down. The rules: avoid obstacles, collect coins, and complete missions to unlock new heroes. Download Finger Hero for free from the App Store.
