It’s amazing how a single word can inspire your work throughout the day. If your morning ritual goes smoothly – you don’t need to waste time searching for your car keys, wallet, or the like – that’s the best way to start a stress-free day. That’s why, besides being nice games, I focused on these apps in this week’s roundup. So, without further ado, here is my recipe for this weekend.

AWE (A Word Everyday)

Developed by a father-and-daughter duet, AWE began when the daughter asked her father to focus on a word every day that inspired him. He noticed that each word infused his day, and AWE is a powerful app that delivers a unique word to each user every single day that imbues meaning in one’s daily life. This leads to a new type of experience which uses technology to do something mindful: It leads you to put your phone down for a moment of reflection. Download AWE for $0.99 from the App Store or Google Play

Army Antz

After working on some big titles, such as Wubbzy, Digital World Studio joined forces with Total Knockout Games and developed a new game, Army Antz, which is inspired by the 90s classic title General Chaos by Electronics Arts. Army Antz is a real-time, action-packed strategic game with 5 on 5 battle arena. You are in charge of a team of ants trying to dominate the park battlefield, and your mission is to advance toward the enemy base, take their flag, and invade the Queen’s lair. Army Antz costs $2.99 on the App Store.

Sorus Shield

Sorus Shield is a strategic action and puzzle game, in which your mission is to save the universe from aliens. The Spaceship Sorus is equipped with a special weapon that explodes the aliens’ light mines. It’s a cool mix of two arcade classics, Tetris and Space Invaders. Download Sorus Shield for $1.99 from the App Store.

Battle Copters

Battler Copters takes the battle to the skies: It’s a multiplayer helicopter battle game featuring four dangerous locations and up to eight real players. As with every battle game, players can upgrade their existing helicopters between matches or purchase new ones to improve their performance. The game was developed by Happyfish and publisher Chillingo. Download Battle Copters for free from the App Store.

Find My Stuff

One of the best features of the Apple Watch is Ping iPhone: I can find my device in a second, as it plays a sound. But that’s only my iPhone: What about the rest of my essential things, such as car keys, wallet, and the like? For those, there is Find My Stuff, an object-finder app that makes it easy to safely keep track of your valuables. But remember, it locates only objects that have a beacon attached. The app is available as a free download, but you’ll need to purchase one of the supported beacons, which start at $20.
