Millennials are entering the workforce at record numbers. And with college degrees under their belts and a desire to prove all those naysayers wrong, their lazy butts aren’t settling for employment that is less than stellar. They want perks, they want purpose, and gosh darn it, they want a paycheck that can put a dent in those students loans. And according to a recent study, millennials are pretty consistent on which order they want them in.
The report from Manpower, dubbed the Millennial Careers: 2020 Vision report, showed the top five most important job characteristics to this particularly generation. It surveyed 19,000 millennials, including 8,000 members of the Manpower team. The report was separated into global and US reports, as the results were shockingly different across country lines. For example, 90 percent of Brazilians wished to work with great people, while less than 50 percent of Japanese people wished for the same.
If you are wondering what millennials in the US are looking for in their employment opportunities, check out the rest of the list below and adjust your hiring practices accordingly.
