This week Chicago is playing host to a few different mobile technology focused conferences. We are happy to share them with you and hope that you can make it to all of them. The events this week are as follows:

mobilex

MobileX Chicago – March 5, 2010 – DoubleTree, Chicago
MobileX is a one day conference for entrepreneurs, investors, developers, industry professionals, and mobile enthusiasts that identifies opportunities, explores solutions, and provides technical education in the mobile & related industries. This is one of 5 mobile focused conferences within the next 45 days in Columbus, Chicago, Atlanta, Nashville and Lexington hosted by Awesome, Inc a start-up based out of Kentucky. I had a chance to meet one of the founders, Luke Murray, while hosting TECH cocktail Boulder 2 back in the summer of 2008. I recall Luke was getting into the tech and mobile scene at the time and we helped him get going on Twitter. Luke has a lot of enthusiasm so it was great to see him out doing some events in the tech/mobile space.

Day of Mobile

Day of Mobile – March 6, 2010 – ITT, Chicago
Day of Mobile is an all day event for mobile developers and enthusiasts. The overall goal of the event is to better prepare both Chicago’s application development community and companies with mobile initiatives for the upcoming mobile revolution. The event will cover a number of different topics relative to mobile development and strategy such as platform SDKs, cross platform development, multimedia, CMS/SMS, mobile business models and more. The event is being organized by Gabe Garms and Scott Seely of Tech in the Middle and they have been kind enough to offer a discount to TECH and MOBILE cocktail readers. Save $10 off the standard admission price using the discount code: DOMTCOCKTAIL

I hope you can make it to both mobile conferences this week in Chicago. If you are attending either event and would like to cover them for MOBILE cocktail please reach out us via the “Send a message” link on the TECH cocktail Google Profile. We would love your help as the information could help other MOBILE cocktail readers.
