Uber Miami: Things That Make You Go Hmmm

Update: Today Uber posted two new positions for their Miami office. The team keeps growing.

Now I’m not one to believe gossip (cough), but if a promoted ad comes up on my Facebook about UberX Miami looking for drivers, I get curious. Especially an ad claiming that Miami drivers can make $60K a year driving.

Uber, an on-demand black car service, has been in an arduous battle against various Florida legislators to bring the service to Miami. UberX is the startup’s low-cost version of the service, where drivers use their own cars. Last week, one of Uber’s main competitors Lyft launched in Miami.

So what does this mean Uber? Do you have something to tell Miami?
