This morning,  Science Inc. has announced the launch of their latest operation, Urban Remedy, a wellness-focused startup that delivers juices, meal replacements, and healthy snacks.  The company launches with $1 million in seed funding from Science and a group of angels with experience in the beverage industry.

“Urban Remedy solves the health problem for people who are just too busy to find the time to get truly delicious and healthful products,” says Michael Jones, CEO of Science Inc. “By powering Urban Remedy, one of the most sought-after niche health brands, with a technology platform that presents and engages users through site infographics, helpful charts, and funny stats, then distributes fresh made products to their doorsteps as soon as next day, we hope it’ll be easier for more people to discover and enjoy delicious alternatives to the all-too-available American junk food diet on a regular basis.”

Urban Remedy is lead by Neka Pasquale, a certified Traditional Chinese Nutritionist, acupuncturist, healer, and entrepreneur.  Pasquale also leads 3-5 day juice, raw food and yoga retreats in near her homebase in Marin County, CA.

Pasquale’s juices are commonly used as part of a longer cleanse, including their three main packages, Super Green, Purify, and The Signature, which provides 10 lbs. worth of vegetables in a day’s supply of juice.

Urban Remedy’s products are now available nationwide.  Learn more about the nutritional properties of their ingredients here.
