Apparently, jewelry that doubles as a sex toy is a thing, and the latest creation by Crave is something called the Vesper vibrator necklace.

Yes, you heard that right: it’s a vibrator for women that they can clean and hang around their necks to wear in public.

“We believe that women have been underserved in the market for quality toys, accessories, and devices,” says Crave, founded by CEO Michael Topolovac and industrial designer Ti Chang in 2010. “We want to change the way women experience sex toys.”

Vesper is a quiet, USB-rechargeable vibrator that has four speeds (low to high and pulsing). It comes in silver ($69), rose gold ($79), or 24-karat gold ($149), and you can add a custom engraving for $10. (For example: “This isn’t a nail, but you can get nailed” and “Haha! And you thought this was jewelry…”)

I’m trying to wrap my head around the allure of this piece, but it’s a bit difficult. Who wants to wear a vibrator around their neck in public? I guess that’s the point – it’s a bit bold and risqué to show off your vibrator without anyone knowing that’s what it is. But what if Vesper becomes wildly successful and then everyone does know what it is? Would that defeat the purpose?

They also have other pieces in their line of sex-toys-as-jewelry, including Droplet, a necklace that’s also a nipple vibrator, and a bracelet that turns into leather handcuffs.

Something to think about for your Valentine’s Day outfit, or a Valentine’s Day gift – and luckily, this one works for singles, too.
