WeedHire today released an infographic that details the job growth in the cannabis industry in the year 2014. Between states with active medical marijuana laws and states in the process of implementing those, over 148 million Americans now live in pro-medical marijuana states. And after the 2014 mid-term election voting 17.5 million Americans live in states that have authorized retail marijuana.

“Combined, that represents about half of all Americans,” reads WeedHire’s report. “Marijuana policy reform can no longer be thought of as a marginal policy or job market issue.”

It’s no secret that along with a boom in specific industries, job growth isn’t far behind. That’s precisely what we’re seeing across the legal cannabis market. Where WeedHire comes into play is how they assist precisely how the market and subsequent job growth is evolving; they have all the macro-data.

This infographic is WeedHire’s way of educating employee candidates, employers, and the mainstream media about the cold, hard facts surrounding the cannabis industry.
