Each week, The Mill, powered by Work In Progress in Downtown Las Vegas, invests $5,000 in a new idea with the goal of lowering the barrier to entrepreneurship and making it more accessible. This week’s $5K goes to William Kasel of Reserved.
William Kasel loves solving hard problems with simple solutions. His first company built mobile apps for brands like NBC Universal, Interscope Records, Paramount Pictures, Genentech, BioGen Idec, Kodak, and Google. He had a few lucky hits between then and now, and is excited to build another great business.
Currently there are 8.4 million table service reservations taken every year in the US. The entire process has zero transparency, and customers have no insight into available inventory or the process to reserve a table. Reserved solves this with a 360 suite of technology products, including a mobile app, that allows a customer to tap directly into a nightclub’s inventory and purchase on the spot, as well as nightclub management software. Currently Reserved is being implemented in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
