Ever since we announced our arrival in Miami, our inboxes have been filling up and phones ringing off the hook with people saying hello, sharing announcements, and stories and community members wanting to get involved in some way. It’s been welcoming and slightly overwhelming. With that in mind, I couldn’t be more excited to announce that we now have someone to lead our local efforts: Camila Souza has joined the Tech Cocktail team as our new Miami Writer and Community Manager.
Camila has been heavily active in South Florida’s tech startup community. She co-founded a communication strategy company geared toward startups called pFunk Media and co-hosts a radio show out of the LAB Miami called pFunkcast. Camila has written contributing pieces for The Miami Herald’s The Starting Gate and has worked at various international organizations.
Camila will be writing articles for Tech Cocktail, with a focus on the Miami market, as well as providing national coverage and hosting events in the local community. Miami has a growing tech ecosystem and we want to have a strong presence. We’re looking forward to having someone on the ground who is involved and invested in the community, like Camila, representing Tech Cocktail.
You can reach out to Camila: firstname.lastname@example.org and follow her on Twitter @cfunk305r.
Welcome to the team, Camila!
