Tonight, Work in Progress director of entrepreneurship Sara Vainer announced their launch of an idea accelerator called The Mill, at a PandoMonthly event in Vegas.

Each week, The Mill will choose a new idea to fund with $5,000, coming from the Downtown Project’s VegasTechFund. Then, entrepreneurs get to spend two months working out of the Work in Progress coworking space and getting mentorship through their mentor program.

“This program will help the community by lowering the bar to entrepreneurship and empowering the entrepreneurially-minded into testing out their idea without having to make a huge sacrifice,” says Vainer.

This sounds a lot like an accelerator, although there aren’t any cohorts – it’s a rolling application. And the ideas aren’t limited to just tech – The Mill is open to anything, as long as you’re passionate and serious about it. If that describes you, submit your application here.
