Miami-based Wyncode is partnering with the Global Governance Advisors (GGA) to organize and sponsor a pitch day competition for Wyncode students who have created innovative startup proposals for digital technology solutions within the human capital and corporate governance space.

The first pitch day competition winners will be announced on January 5th, 2015 at Wyncode headquarters in Miami, with the winners awarded $10,000 over 12 weeks, along with further opportunities for full-time employment, equity interest and formal introduction to GGA’s portfolio companies.

“At Wyncode, we have always viewed the startup ecosystem here in Miami as one with tremendous potential to launch the next wave of tech breakout success stories, and we have structured our boot camp to create the most immersive, hands-on environment where great ideas – and enduring industry relationships – can emerge,” said Wyncode founder Juha Mikkola. “Our partnership with GGA on this pitch day competition is a signal example of creating opportunity and innovation with a forward thinking firm that understands that game changing, disruptive business ideas benefit greatly from support and mentoring in the early stages of development.”

The GGA-Wyncode partnership has emerged in response to a movement of human resources and governance towards technology-based solutions. The North American HR Consulting Industry has accounted for more than $27 billion in revenues in 2014.  Large companies such as IBM, Oracle, Salesforce.ca and workday.com have been acquiring these types of startups, with an eye to the growth potential in the market in the coming years.

“With one of our key offices in Miami, GGA has always understood the tremendous potential for the city to be positioned at the vanguard of the technological revolution and as a gateway to the Latin American marketplace for innovation,” said Luis Navas, GGA’s Miami-based Managing Partner.

In 2013 GGA established its unique Human Capital Innovators Fund with an eye to nurturing technology-oriented start-ups who are focusing on the development of human capital and corporate governance solutions.
