Earlier this week, I covered YongoPal, an app that immerses you in new cultural experiences via pen-pal like interactions with local guides around the world. As I was checking my iPhone just a few days later, it turns out the app had updated its name and look – not to mention expanded its capabilities.

YongoPal is now “Wander,” sporting a sleek new icon to match. If you had Version 1.2 or below and were experiencing frustration with the app taking a long time to get you matched up to a guide, you weren’t alone. The new version of the app claims to have fixed these bugs, with improved guide matching, a better live map and enhanced performance.

The app also sports updated social features, with new buttons to share your photos from chat directly to Facebook and Twitter. Support for the Arabic region format was also added.

You can download the new version of Wander here, or check out the app’s site at WanderWith.Us.
