Zipcar Films Captures the Essence of Downtown Vegas In Their New Short

In the startup community we hear the term “hedging bets” thrown around a lot because, frankly, starting a company is a big risk. But seldom is there a bigger bet placed than the one Tony Hsieh threw down on Downtown Las Vegas.

Hsieh took it upon himself to catalyze the revitalization efforts via the Downtown Project: a group of passionate people committed to transforming Downtown Vegas into the most community-focused large city in the world. The numerous projects, businesses, and spaces they have helped build has in fact turned what was once a rough and tumble neighborhood into a prospering community.

And outside of Hsieh, nobody knows the ins and outs of this revitalization effort better than Tech Cocktail’s Frank Gruber and Jen Consalvo. That’s why Zipcar films chose to feature them in their project “Betting on Innovation: The Revitalization of Downtown Las Vegas”.
