Today, Work in Progress opened a new coworking space in downtown Las Vegas called the 6th Street Workspace.
The two-story building offers working space at an affordable $50 per month. And members also get access to a growing downtown wifi network and a series of events including speakers, classes, and social gatherings.
But Work in Progress actually eschews the label “coworking space.” “We are a collective of spaces and experiences that help creative thinkers connect and grow,” say creators Zach Ware, Patrick Olson, and Josh Bowden.

Funded by the Downtown Project, a $350 million fund led by Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh that is revitalizing downtown Las Vegas, Work in Progress is helping to make the city one huge coworking space or incubator focused on learning, innovation, and entrepreneurship. To that end, they have other locations – the 4th Street Workspace and usr/lib – with more on the way.
“This gives our members the opportunity to work from different places, interact with different communities, and simply get a change of scenery from time to time. The larger our membership, the more spaces we’ll build,” they say.
