AppTap, the DC-based app discovery and advertising network, has partnered with lead generation legend Publishers Clearing House’s (PCH) rich media mobile advertising network, Liquid Wireless. This partnership aims to drive highly engaged consumers toward apps they love to play.
Specifically, the two companies will integrate AppTap’s proprietary recommendations engine with first-party audience data to deliver targeted app recommendations to gaming consumers who play PCHs mobile products. So far, the AppTap/PCH combo has yielded click-to-install rates of 25 percent+ and increased revenue per click by 55 percent for app ads on PCH mobile products.
“AppTap’s recommendations engine and Liquid Wireless’ first-party-data enables us to deliver the right apps, to the right user, at the right time – while also optimizing revenue for Publishers Clearing House’s mobile properties,” said Matt Callaway, CEO of AppTap.
Famous for its ability to generate customer lists – and infamous for its multi-million dollar sweepstakes – PCH has struggled with targeting players of its casino and casual games with relevant offers that won’t scare them away. Harnessing AppTap’s discovery powers will help PCH optimize for the long-term with tightly targeted recommendations that will hopefully pay off over time.
Just one year ago, AppTap secured a $2.67M Series A round of funding, and now it is being sought by a large, 60-year-old company for its recommendations expertise, proving that this DC startup is definitely doing something very right.
