Designing a website is way too complicated for most people, and Easy WebContent wants to change that.
The Maryland startup built a suite of tools to help you design a website, then spice it up with things like animations, infographics, presentations, and music. “We keep our interface the most basic, so that users 45 years old and over are capable of using it with ease,” says founder and president Payman Taei.
Below, Taei explains their vision for making website design accessible to almost anyone.
Tech Cocktail: What problem does Easy WebContent try to solve?
Payman Taei: It is meant to simplify the traditional process of creating animations and presentations; What traditionally required hours of tedious work with design experience is now put in the hands of everyone who wants to create engaging content.
Tech Cocktail: Who does Easy WebContent target?
Taei: At Easy WebContent, we believe there is a big gray area between designers and the average person who lacks the technical knowledge and learning curve to use professional tools that allow one to design and create a professional presence to better market their products and services to their target audience. Our mission is to simplify the ability to create professional, engaging content for everyone, regardless of your level of experience with design tools.
Tech Cocktail: What was the inspiration behind Easy WebContent?
Taei: We run a web development company called HindSite Interactive, creating custom site and applications from the ground up. We realized over the years that small businesses and individuals often rely on web design professionals because they don’t believe they can do it themselves and they often don’t have the budget to hire a professional company.
So we set out to create a Do It Yourself service that would fill this need and require little learning curve while giving the user all the tools necessary to create a professional presence that fits their current needs.
Tech Cocktail: What’s one quirky fact about your team?
Taei: I have way too many tabs open on my station. As for my colleagues, they all seem to dedicate one of their screens to Netflix, YouTube, and other media on the background. Oh and some of us secretly believe that we were Amazon explorers in a past life, but that’s another story.
