The Super Bowl has been around since 1967, but the American tradition of grilling is even older. Handed down to us by generations past, we perfected the art form starting with the first portable gas grills in the 1950s. Today, grilling adherents around the country aspire to popularity, crispy goodness, and that certain je ne sais quoi of standing casually over an open flame.
This weekend, you can take your experience to the height of Americanness by not only watching football and cooking up some juicy burgers, but also supporting our national spirit of entrepreneurship with the Grillbot.
Invented by Ethan Woods and launched in 2014, the Grillbot is a grill-cleaning robot. About 10-15 minutes after grilling – as long as the grill is under 250 degrees – just place it on the grate and set it to clean for 10-30 minutes. The little bugger roams around your grill, brushes spinning, until all the bits of meat and grease are rubbed away. When it’s done, the Grillbot stops automatically and you can put the brushes in the dishwasher.
I recommend the patriotic blue or red Grillbot, of course, but you can also get it in black or orange.
