Being a boss is hard. But imagine you’re the boss of everyone’s boss. As the CEO, the buck stops with you. You take full responsibility for your product, your brand, and your entire company, which has to be more than stressful on a day-to-day basis. However, there are some CEOs that shine above the rest, inspiring employees, innovating technology, and generally kicking butt when it comes to being the head honcho. And thanks to Comparably, we know exactly who they are.
In their Best CEOs 2017 report, the online compensation data platform ranked the 50 best CEOs of large companies in the world. And thanks to plenty of data and a lot of anticipation, they believe they can safely say that Marc Benioff, the CEO of Salesforce, is the best CEO of 2017.
As for the rest of the list, it reads as a veritable who’s-who of reputable companies and CEOs. FromBrian Halligan and Brad Smith at numbers 2 and 3, to Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos at numbers 9 and 25, the sheer breadth of impressive minds on this list is enough to make the entrepreneurial hairs on the back of your neck stand on end.
As for how these rankings came to be, it was pretty easy for a comparison website for employees to rake in the data on this one. Based on “sentiment ratings provided by employees who anonymously rated their employers,” Comparably scored the CEOs in question and ranked them accordingly.
