LocalBlox.com – Localized Social Networking for the Real Estate Sector

Social networking within the real estate sector has only gained notoriety over the past couple of years. With declining values in a depressed housing market, real estate agents have been expanding upon the traditional methods of marketing in a variety of innovative ways. Social networking has quickly become a key factor in marketing business and expanding the professional brand within the real estate sector. Facebook, Twitter, and blogs have become part of every Realtor’s toolkit. Localblox.com, a social networking platform that serves to connect communities, enters the marketplace at a time when real estate professionals are eager to connect with the local community, opening up new opportunities.

Localblox.com connects local residents with other local residents, businesses, services, events and community information on a single platform. Realtors can personally connect with individuals within their community by writing on the community wall, responding to open inquiries, and attending and reviewing local community events. Agents can become Community Ambassadors and establish themselves as the go-to authorities in a particular community. It provides a unique opportunity for real estate agents to truly engage with their neighbors and beyond.

Our goal is to help individuals connect to their local communities and build a bridge between neighbors and their local communities.  – Co-founders  CEO, Sabira Arefin, and CTO, Ashfaq Rahman.

The site is currently in beta and has around 50,000 neighborhoods so far, and users can add more themselves. Localblox.com also offers free online business advertisements as well as other options for mobile ads and social media packages. Localblox.com is poised to offer a one-stop shop for localized social networking that could prove very useful to the real estate sector.
