Speaker Portia Blunt Will Bring an Innovative Mind to Innovate Celebrate

The form-fitting world of sports tech is home to plenty of services and devices that embody the novel, creative, or experimental sides of the tech community, from wearables to data-heavy algorithms. And at Innovate Celebrate — a conference literally named after the celebration of innovation — we love innovation. That’s why we’ve invited a speaker straight out of the sports tech world with the word right in her job title.

Portia Blunt, Senior Digital Sport Innovation Manager at New Balance Athletic, will be speaking at TechCo’s annual Innovate Celebrate conference this October in San Francisco. As a head decision-maker at New Balance’s Digital Sport Division, she’s responsible for managing the digital performance strategy for embedded tech in new products.

She also aids in developing partnerships within the sport performance technology industry, making her the expert to talk to for those hoping to learn more about the industry and understand its network.

Portia started her career as a clothing designer and product manager for the United States Marine Corps. Since joining New Balance in 2008, Portia has held various roles within product development & Innovation. These experiences included heading Apparel Innovation for the brand and leading all military product development — a position in which she managed $276 million dollar’s worth of men’s and women’s product lines.

Portia Blunt is passionate about technology, sports, and bringing innovative solutions to life. Interested in sports tech, the growing sports industry, and more on what Portia has to say? Then you just need to show up at Innovate Celebrate ready to dive in.
