Views on Top: Discover Worldwide Scenic Destinations

It doesn’t really matter if you are on business travel or vacation. You can find a spot in your busy calendar to visit the best place in town. And you know what? There is an app for that: looking up places with great views. It’s called Views on Top, and the simplest way to put it is this: the app could be seen as the child of TripAdvisor and Instagram. Sign up, and you get instant access to a database of awesome handpicked images from more than 700 destinations in 400 popular locations across 85 countries.

Packed into a very nice, elegant, and easy-to-use UI, Australia Mobile & App Awards 2014 finalist Views on Top provides panoramic views from famous lookouts and tourist attractions such as the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which is the world’s tallest building, or the world’s tallest tower, the Tokyo Skytree.

But that’s really just the start. Besides great photos, the app also gives relevant information about the attraction and locates it for you on Apple Maps. You get opening hours and ticket booking or hotel reservation options for those nearby and other options, such as marking the place as visited or putting it on your wishlist. Or you can take images yourself and share them with the community.

Users can look up places by popularity, location, or category and choose the top tips and deals. The app will sort through nine types of destinations and six types of experiences. Views on Top should be on your travel apps list even if you are scared of heights.
