WeGoLook Will Check Out That Sketchy Craigslist Car For You

While on the road to finding the global Startup Of The Year for Innovate! and Celebrate 2016, we’re on a mission to feature and highlight as many rising stars as possible. From tech and hardware, to entrepreneurs improving the accessibility of health information, each month dozens of new startups try to breakout and create an impact in their industry.

Meet WeGoLook From Oklahoma City

WeGoLook is a mobile technology platform which features over 25,000 nationwide agents (Lookers) who are dispatched on behalf of an individual or corporate client to capture onsite data in the form of photos, measurements, video, answering custom questions or perform low-complex tasking.

For example, you wish to purchase a vehicle or pinball machine on eBay that is located several states away but aren’t sure if the seller is misrepresenting the item, you simply place your order for a “Look” and the local Looker for WeGoLook travels to the asset, takes current photos, etc. Then you receive an electronic inspection report which features more information than you would otherwise have access to…allowing for a confident purchasing decision.

Enterprise clients utilize our on-demand workforce in a different manner.  Insurance companies place orders for post-accident photos, scene inspections, pick up police reports.  Banks order commercial and residential property reports. Auto makers send Lookers out to take vehicle condition report photos, etc.

It allows for anyone to send a person on their behalf anywhere in the USA.

If asked about your core values, what would you say when asked why do you do what you do (as an organization)?

In everything we do we strive to push the boundaries of what’s possible within real-time field tasking and customer engagement by empowering every member of our team to continually innovate both technology and process to maximize value for our Looker community, team, and stakeholders.

1. embrace empowerment
We take initiative, make meaningful contributions, and exceed expectations.

2. be driven
We strive toward success with urgency, dedication, and persistence.

3. deliver quality
We commit to greatness by going the extra mile in everything we do.

4. create collaboration
We work as a team and support the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and resources.

5. embody integrity
We honor what is right; we’re honest, trustworthy, responsible, and accountable.

6. show respect
We treat our customers, Lookers, and each other with kindness and respect.

7. give back
We believe in our social responsibility to make the world a better place.

What has been one of your largest challenges as an organization, and how did you overcome it?

Managing the supply/demand equation of a marketplace business that relies on a community of Looker agents to perform fields tasks but needs customers and orders to effectively cultivate and make that community stronger.  Whether considered the chicken or the egg, we started with developing the Looker community and leveraged a wide array of creative recruiting and community building tactics over several years to get to where we are today.  We now have customer demand scaling rapidly and continually manage the supply/demand equation to ensure we have an adequate supply of opportunities and Lookers to accept those opportunities.

In one word, how would you describe yourself as a leader?

Resilient

What would you do in the event of a zombie apocalypse?

Send an in-app notification to all of our Lookers to give each of them the best head start possible.

What is the best piece of advice or quote you’ve ever received regarding running a business?

Make sure you’re solving a real, not manufactured, problem. If it’s a difficult problem to explain, it may be equally difficult to sell.

What motivates you to get out of bed in the morning?

Knowing that no matter how or what I plan to do during my day, it will be met with surprises.

What was your first paying job?

Selling homemade bracelets.
