Here are 6 Epic Things Your Playstation 4 Can Do

It’s Black Friday, and some of the most coveted deals of the day are Xbox One and Playstation 4. Each of them plays games, no doubt, but there are a lot of people who think Playstation 4 is capable of so much more awesomeness. And I’m not even exaggerating here. I’ll show you some cool features worth exploring, whether you want to be social with your friends or play around with your new console.

Instant App Switching

We’re all fans of multitasking. Let’s say you want to play a quick game of Fallout 4, but don’t feel like shutting down the WrestleMania feed fromthe WWE Network account. Easy– simply double click the PS home button, and the system will instantly switch between the new app and the previous app you are using. No need shuffling around the home menu.

USB Compatibility with Game Saves

If you think paying for PlayStation Plus’s cloud-saving services isn’t worth the extra dough, you can simply transfer game saves to a USB stick. Just plug it into your console and go the Settings menu and check on Application Data Management found under Storage. You’ll see an option to copy to USB device, this way you can take your game saves with you wherever you go.

Feature-packed Dual Shock 4

The color coding on your DS4 controller isn’t just for show. You might be wondering why Sony went with this aside from it looking awesome, but not only does it provide the PlayStation motion capability for games, it’s there to match up with in-game actions as well. For example, in Tomb Raider: Complete Edition, when lighting up a torch, it will turn bright red! Mind blown? Try it yourself. Don’t have the game yet? You can find new ps4 games online at Harvey Norman right now. Check them out.

Log in with Facial Recognition

This nifty feature lets you automatically login to your console, albeit through the PlayStation 4 camera. Once you attach one to your console, go to Settings, then select Login Settings, navigate down to Face Recognition and enable it. Voila! You can now use your awesome face the next time you log in.

Video Sharing with a push of a button

If you’ve never been a social gamer, then fear the PlayStation 4’s Share button (no, not really). With a simple tap of the share button, you have the option to share your videos easier than ever using your Facebook account. You can edit clips in length of up to 15 minutes, then instantly upload them. Live-streaming is also available, so it helps to set up a YouTube account beforehand.

Charge your Controller from Standby mode

The DS4 is Sony’s best controller yet, but the battery isn’t perfect. At around seven hours from full charge, your controller will have spent most of its juice and will require a charging session before another use – that or you need to use it with the wire attached. Here’s a better way. Go to your Settings, then to Power Save Settings. Now look for the ‘Set Functions Available in Standby Mode’s section, and allow ‘Supply Power from USB Port’s function. Now your PS4 can charge your controllers when connected. They can now fully charge while your console is in Standby Mode.
