Boston-Based BabbaCo Acquired by Barefoot Books

Announced today, Boston-based BabbaCo, a monthly activity box for kids, announced that it was acquired by Cambridge-based Barefoot Books.  Terms of the deal have not be disclosed.

BabbaCo founder and CEO Jessica Kim, will assume the role of President at Barefoot “with the goal of growing a global community of story lovers who share our belief in the importance of connection, creativity, and diversity in families’ lives,” according to an email sent by the Kim this morning.  Her note continues:

Now we have the ability to have an even bigger impact with more resources, a bigger team and global reach. I really hope you kick off your shoes and live Barefoot with me! Again, thank you for being the heart of our purpose. Stay tuned because there are a lot of exciting things in store…
