Ecomom Acquired by Etailz, Following the Death of CEO Jody Sherman

Acquisition

Ecomom – the startup whose CEO, Jody Sherman, committed suicide in January – today announced that it was acquired by etailz, maker of GreenCupboards. Ecomom had told investors it was shutting down in February due to financial troubles. Now, etailz says it will be reopening ecomom in “early summer.”

When asked if the ecomom team would work at etailz, cofounder and CEO Josh Neblett replied as follows:

“While etailz has been working closely with a select few of the ecomom team members on this transition, those individuals remain in Las Vegas. We are not shutting the door on the possibility. However, as of today, no former ecomom team members are on etailz staff.”
