Voxel8 Raises $12M to Bring 3D-Printed Electronics to Consumers
The Somerville, MA-based creator of a 3D electronics printer, Voxel8, announced today that it has raised $12 million to develop the tech that will enable companies to 3D-print products with built in electronics. The printer is the first “multi-material 3D printer”.
Baltimore’s Terbium Labs Raises Nearly $4M
Terbium Labs, the Baltimore, MD-based cybersecurity startup known for its data protection and tracking program, announced two days ago that it had raised $3.7 million. With this recent funding, the company has raised over $5 million overall.
Acquisitions
EdTech Company Noodle Acquires Allclasses.com
Noodle, the New York, NY-based edtech platform that allows parents and students to find their desired education needs – from kindergartens and colleges to language tutors – announced today that it has acquired the Boston, MA-based Allclasses. The acquisition will enable Noodle to make a significant expansion of its post-college search capabilities.
Chicago’s Centro Acquires GraphScience
The Chicago, IL-based provider of enterprise-class software for digital advertising, Centro, announced yesterday afternoon its acquisition of GraphScience. The acquisition will add robust social ad capabilities to deliver higher ROI for brands using Centro’s platform.
IBM Acquires Cloud Database Company Compose
IBM announced yesterday that it had closed a deal to acquire the San Mateo, CA-based Cloud-based datbase startup Compose. The acquisition of the company will bring Compose’s product offering into IBM’s current BlueMix Cloud platform for software developers.
Prophet Acquires Research Firm Altimeter Group
Prophet, a consulting firm that specializes in marketing, design, and brand strategy, announced two days ago that it had acquired the Charlene Li-led Altimeter Group research firm.
