Microsoft Ventures Accelerator Tour Stopping in NYC

We are proud to partner with Microsoft Ventures to promote their Machine Learning Accelerator in Seattle.

The Microsoft Ventures Accelerator Tour is visiting 11 US cities to spread the word about their accelerator programs that run in 7 cities(Bangalore, Beijing, Berlin, London, Paris, Seattle, and Tel Aviv) around the world. This tour is specifically to promote the Machine Learning Accelerator in Seattle which is currently accepting applications for their new class beginning on February 2, 2016.

On October 21, the Microsoft Ventures Tour will make its first east coast stop in New York City. Naturally, NYC is a startup hub with a ridiculous amount of talent. They have one of the most active ecosystems in the country and more than enough resources to go around.

New York City is also home to a Microsoft Ventures Accelerator alum. The company is Open Hour and they provide a tool that is absolutely necessary for any successful business: An accurate time keeper.

Their platform is called TimeTracker (not the most creative name in the world, but it gets the job done) and it claims to be the most intuitive and automatic timekeeping tool ever invented. “Automatic” is the key word here. It integrates with multiple programs (Adobe Creative Cloud, CS5 & CS6, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Microsoft Office, Apple Keynote, Numbers & Pages, Google Calendarto automatically captures how you spend your time. It also easily allows you to enter job and project IDs and learns to associate the correct Job ID or Project ID with that effort. It’s deployed as a combination of plug-in, application and service depending on what applications you use throughout your day.

The highest plan also allows for collaboration. Team members can share projects, project data, and reports from virtually anywhere there is an internet connection. Managers can also reference past projects to help plan resources and guide effort estimates.

It’s quite possible that your NYC based startup could be part of the next Microsoft Ventures Accelerator. If you would like to attend the October 21st event which will take place at the Henry Kaufman Management Center, you can register here.
