A removable battery pack will make swapping out dead batteries easier, while the included interchangeable faceplates and corner kit will help it fit in better with your home.
From a tech angle, the Ring Doorbell 3 also works with 5.0 GHz wifi connections, this means it should be faster if your doorbell is near to your wifi router.
Ring Doorbell 4
The Ring Doorbell 4 is only a mite more expensive than the Doorbell 3 but has two extra features. It gives you four second-long color pre-roll videos, allowing you to see all motion events in glorious technicolor at any time of day — even before people press the button.
It also allows for preset quick replies to help you answer the door when you’re busy.
Video Doorbell Wired
The Doorbell Wired is, in essence, the same as the standard Video Doorbell but it is wired directly into your home’s electricity rather than using battery packs.
It costs the same as the standard Video Doorbell and comes with all the same features.
Video Doorbell Pro
The Doorbell Pro, meanwhile, costs a fair bit more than the Video Doorbell Wired but has lots of extra features. It can work with your home’s chime box, offers quick replies, Alexa greetings, and includes interchangeable faceplates.
Video Doorbell Pro 2
Finally, there’s the Video Doorbell Pro 2. It has 3D motion detection and records videos at 1,536p (higher than the 1080p on all other Ring Doorbells).
It also offers wide-angle, head-to-toe video, a bird’s eye view mode, and Audio+ for greater clarity when talking to visitors.
