Amazon Releases Augmented Reality App to View Products Before You Buy

As if we didn’t need another reason to purchase items from Amazon. Today the company launched a new augmented reality app for iOS that will allow consumers to view thousands of products for their home before they buy.

This trend of “view before you buy” has been used by other clothing and retail stores such as Target, Wayfair, even the Gap. According to the company 70 percent of their shoppers do so through their smartphones So, why not jump right in before the holiday season and capture the mobile shopper and give them a preview of pieces for that living room they’ve been wanting to change.

Products will include items for a living room, bedroom, kitchen and home office products to electronics, toys and games, home décor and more. Shoppers will have the ability to move the item around and in 360 degrees. Before you iPhone users get too excited, you need to update your software to iOS 11 and have an iPhone 6S or later to make it work.

Alexa will be more helpful than ever.
