In order to donate photos, users must download the app and create an account. This account can be connected to Facebook or Twitter; however, it is not a requirement. Once registered, the user can choose from a variety of charitable organizations including Save the Children, Operation Smile and Born Free Africa. Users can find information about each organization and how the money will be used on the app. Once a cause is chosen, users can click Donate Now and either snap a photograph or choose a photograph from their camera roll.


Toptal is a smaller company that that takes social donation to a new level. Toptal is a group of freelance software developers that help software engineers from low income backgrounds through Toptal’s Global Mentors Program.

Toptal partners with General Assembly to provide more than one million dollars’ worth of mentorship to students via remote access.
