I’ve never had the problem of finding a wedding dress or dealing with any woman who’s on her search for the perfect dress. And, as a gay man, I know that I won’t ever have to run into that issue when planning for my own wedding. If what pop media has shown me regarding the issue holds true, though, then I certainly pity any and all prospective brides who have to deal with the stresses of trying to find a wedding dress. In an effort to help brides seek out their dream dress, bridal store chain David’s Bridal has just released a new wedding dress app.
The new wedding dress app by David’s Bridal provides brides with a wedding dress finder tool that lets them easily browse and shop for wedding dresses right from their phones. The app was created in partnership by the Brooklyn, NY-based mobile development agency Prolific Interactive, which has worked previously with other leading fashion brand’s such ModCloth and Rent the Runway. The wedding dress app for David’s Bridal is great in that it acts as a kind of matchmaker for brides looking to find their ideal dress. From determining a user’s favorite silhouette/dress shape, to considerations of wedding location and mood, the wedding dress app helps brides narrow down the best dresses – a kind of personal stylist at the palm of your hand.
The new David’s Bridal app also allows brides to make in-store appointments, create a list of their favorite wedding dresses, and locate the nearest David Bridal store. While it’s launching only for iOS, the wedding dress app will be made available for Android next month. Grab the David’s Bridal wedding dress app from the App Store.
