Fortune has 40 under 40, Forbes and Inc. has 30 under 30; however, what if we told you most startup founders are over the age of 40? Not only do the latest studies support this, but the largest age group showing signs of increased entrepreneurial activities is actually in the 55-65 year-old age group.
Although my fellow millennials suggest they have the entrepreneurial spirit, unfortunately debt holds them back from pursuing their ideas and aspirations at a young age. Therefore matured professionals are often the ones who lead the way on creating new businesses, which is exactly why we want to highlight their achievements.
For Washington, DC, specifically, there is a convergence of both old and new when it comes to technology, industry, and business. Over the next few weeks we’re looking to you, our wonderful readers and community members, to help us identify those at the intersection of of business and technology (who also happen to be over the age of 40).
Complete the form below and our team will compare their achievements, contributions to the community, and how they are changing their industry in an effort to identify the top and most notable startup founders over the age of 40 within the Washington, DC, area.
Feel free to nominate yourself or your peers.
