If you were one of the individuals that snagged the iPhone X, then you are fully aware that this device is one of the most fragile smartphones on the market to date. And you also know, the cost of getting your glass repaired is over $250. At a minimum, I’m hoping you have a decent case on your phone, like ones we’ve highlighted before, however, during your travels, you might want to add another layer of protection.
I recently reviewed a few Finn Access Wallets provided by WaterField Designs, the same makers of the Bolt Backpack that I recently reviewed. While you may or may not want to add more bulk to your pockets, while you’re on-the-go, these leather wallets can help protect not only your baby X, but your personal information as well.
Finn Access Wallet
The wallet exterior is made of leather, a certified RFID-blocking material (to help protect personal information from being transmitted from your credit cards) and comes in a number of classic colors like black, brown, gray and some fun colors like red and green (shown above). The wallet zips shut to keep things from falling out. It comes in a few different sizes so it’s sure to fit your iPhone 6 all the way up to an iPhone 8 Plus. It has one easy access pocket on the outside.
The canvas lined interior offers a few different pockets to store up to 20 or more credit cards, cash, and even a passport. It fits your iPhone 6 to iPhone 8 Plus (depending on the wallet size you go with) so you can zip it into a safe location while on-the-go.
Features of the Finn Access Wallet:
- Maintains compact size even when full
- Super soft leather in assorted colors
- Exterior pocket for quick access to cards and travel documents
- Certified RFID-blocking material
WaterField Designs is a San Francisco-based company founded by Gary Waterfield in 1998. They make their products in San Francisco and focus on the process and design to create uniquely thought-out, well-crafted bags and carries.
Pros and Cons
- Offers another layer of protection when carrying your phone
- Zips totally shut to keep all your goodies inside
- Has a quick access pocket on the outside
- Wallet might be too large to carry in front pant pocket
- No strap
I like the idea of being able to put my iPhone into a safe place for everyday carry. That said, you won’t be placing this wallet in your front pocket of your pants as it probably won’t fit. But it will fit in a coat or blazer pocket, back pocket, and can be carried with your hand if necessary. Women will be able to easily stow this wallet in their purse, but it does not offer it’s own strap, which would allow it to easily go over the shoulder as it’s own accessory. However, if you’re looking for that added level of protection for your iPhone, this is a nice option.
