Fully Remote Jobs at Apple You Can Apply for in September 2024

The iPhone maker is hiring for as many as 75 roles this month, and you could lock one down to start working from home.

There aren’t a lot of reasons to miss the early days of the pandemic, but remote work is definitely one of them. Some employees were experiencing work-life balance for the first time, allowing them a bit more flexibility in their day-to-day schedule.

Unfortunately, many businesses have instituted return-to-office mandates in recent years, taking away the agency of many employees in the process. Even worse, these new policies clearly fly in the face of productivity stats, which show revenue is up when remote work is an option.

If you miss working from home, we don’t blame you, which is why we’ve collected some of the fully remote jobs at Apple for you to apply to this September. Because work-life balance doesn’t have to only happen when there’s a global health crisis happening.

Fully Remote Jobs to Apply for at Apple in 2024

Finding remote work jobs at Apple is actually quite easy, provided you know how to navigate a company career page. In the search platform, simply select Home Office, and you’ll be shown all the positions that Apple is currently hiring for that are eligible to work from home.

Below are just some of the positions currently available, but feel free to check out the Apple career page and follow the instructions above to see all the roles that need to be filled:

If you’re confused at the inclusion of the cities and countries in which these jobs are based, have no fear. Those are merely included in the job listing so that you know where you’ll be reporting too, which can help employees plan based on time zone and other considerations.

Is Apple Committed to Remote Work?

Given all the return-to-work mandates, it’s a fair question. The last thing you want to do is secure a work from home job, just to have it ripped away from you by a new policy that you weren’t informed about.

While Apple is offering some remote work options for its employees, it’s worth noting that the company is also very much on the return-to-office train. The company is currently hiring for more than 600 positions, and only 75 of them allow for remote work.

Still, that’s 10 more open positions than last month, so Apple doesn’t appear to be a serious threat when it comes to eliminating remote work altogether, like Amazon is currently trying to do.

Is Remote Work Right for You?

Before you begin the arduous application process for a remote job, it’s definitely worth taking a minute to consider whether or not working from home is a good fit for you. After all, you don’t want to start this whole job search over again just because it turns out you hate remote work, right?

For starters, remote work can be a bit more isolating as far as work social life is concerned. Plus, there can be a lot of distractions at home, so if you can’t work near a TV without turning it on, the office might be a better fit for you. On top of that, CEOs have admitted to promoting remote employees less because they aren’t in the office, so if career advancement is your goal, the commute might be calling your name.

There are a lot of benefits of remote work too, though. The work-life balance is an obvious one, providing employees with more flexibility to manage other aspects of their day-to-day schedule. Many productivity statistics show that remote workers actually get more work done in less time, so that’s always a plus too.

All that to say, remote work is one of those decisions that’s best made by the individual. Just make sure you figure it out before you’re staring down an onboarding process.

Finding a Remote Job in 2024

If none of the work-from-home roles at Apple are piquing your interest, you’re lucky that they aren’t the only company hiring for remote jobs. Even better, they aren’t even the most reputable big tech firm that’s hiring employees that work from home, with Google and Microsoft both offering such positions on a regular basis.

You’ll definitely want to make sure you’re positioned to actually get the job, though, which is no easy feat in 2024. We’re here to help, though, as we’ve put together a few guides with tips for landing your dream job. Whether it be writing a resume for remote jobs or securing a professional headshot thanks to a top tier image generator, we’ve got your back.

While looking for a job, make sure you don’t fall for any scams, either. LinkedIn scams, for example, have been on the rise, tricking potential candidates into cashing bad checks and providing valuable information to nefarious actors.
