LA and SF Prepare to Receive the Microsoft Ventures Accelerator Tour

We are proud to partner with Microsoft Ventures to promote their Machine Learning Accelerator in Seattle.

This fall, the Microsoft Ventures Accelerator Tour will be stopping off in 11 different cities across the US. It’s all so they can spread the word about their Machine Learning Accelerator program running in seven cities: Bangalore, Beijing, Berlin, London, Paris, Seattle, and Tel Aviv.

Microsoft is interested in putting a heavy emphasis on their Seattle program, the only stateside offering, which is currently accepting applications. The next cohort of startups will kick off the accelerator on February 2, 2016.

For all my California West Coast Best Coast people out there, you should know that the tour is going to be hitting both San Francisco and Los Angeles. Anybody who attends can expect to experience what a day at the Microsoft Ventures Accelerator program is like.

Not to mention Microsoft will be on hand to answer any questions people have, like what stage your company should be if you’re interested in applying, what you get out of the program, and how it can help scale your company. And since everything is focused on machine learning, attendees can meet the Microsoft Azure Machine Learning product group as well as former companies who have gone through the accelerator.

Here are some of the alumni you can expect to meet in San Francisco and Los Angeles, as well as where the event will be taking place:

San Francisco

Rallyteam: Rallyteam was created to give employees a way to do the work they’re passionate about while enabling companies to become more agile and to better understand and utilize internal talent. The team believes that by making it easier for employees to connect and self organize they can help create a more efficient and innovative workplace: employees will be happier, turnover will go down, and companies will gain the agility they need to remain competitive in today’s rapidly changing business environment.

Skip: Skip was built as a mobile checkout solution that lets store shoppers scan their own grocery items in the store as they shop and check out without waiting in line. It’s a complete solution consisting of a mobile app, a dedicated GoSkip lane, and POS integration. The team also has a service agreement to integrate their solution into a network of over 800 retail stores.
